Experience

Carole Lynn is a seasoned employment law attorney and commercial litigator with more than 20 years of experience. She now applies that experience to serve in her roles as an arbitrator, employment law auditor, employment trainer, compliance trainer, advisor, and independent workplace investigator. Her practice also includes NJ cannabis law and service and assistance animal law.

Carole Lynn has experience with a multitude of employment claims, including discrimination, harassment (including sexual harassment), retaliation, whistleblowing, wage law, equal pay, earned sick leave, and many more. She also provides advice and counseling services to employers regarding workplace issues, discipline and severances, policies, and employee handbooks.

As an independent investigator, Carole Lynn has served in a wide variety of industries, including the financial industry, food products and shipping industries, beauty products industry, medical profession, and educational institutions, among others. Aside from performing investigations, she conducts training for legal and human resources professionals on how to perform prompt, thorough, and impartial investigations. Carole Lynn also serves as a Title IX Hearing Advisor at the university level.

As a trainer, Carole Lynn conducts employee training on the prevention of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation and employee training on civility and unconscious bias for private and public employers, including large and small businesses and educational institutions. Additionally, Carole Lynn performs compliance audits on a broad range of workplace practices, including equal pay audits, and drafts employment policies.

Carole Lynn also serves as an Arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association (AAA) on the Employment, Commercial, and Consumer Panels.

As a litigator, Carole Lynn has represented plaintiffs and defendants in jury and non-jury trials, appeals, and arbitrations in state and federal courts and in alternate disputes resolution forums, including the American Arbitration Association (AAA) and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).

In the area of commercial law, Carole Lynn has represented corporate entities, medical providers, entrepreneurs, and individuals regarding complex legal claims. She has broad experience, including claims involving breach of contract and other business-related claims, consumer fraud and unfair collection practices, improper insurance billing and self-referrals by medical providers (Stark Law and Codey Law violations), claims related to shareholder and partnership disputes and dissolutions, claims related to white collar crimes such as fraud and civil racketeering (RICO) claims, and land use appeals. Carole Lynn’s experience with fraud claims has included matters involving common law fraud, fraudulent transfers, mortgage fraud, banking fraud, Medicare fraud, insurance fraud, medical billing code fraud, and fraud on the court.
